About Forrest the sheep

Forrest was the third of a set of triplets.  He was tiny – about half the size of his siblings. He had wonky legs (and wonky everything else!) so we had to stretch his tendons using splints made from cardboard tubes.

He was rejected by his mother so we had to bottle feed him.  He was so tiny we thought he might be taken by a fox – so he slept in the kitchen for the first few weeks.

He went everywhere with us – visiting friends, to the supermarket (hidden inside a hoody).   He was more like a dog.  We’re not sure he identifies as a sheep!

He may have been small and unsteady on his legs – but he had spirit!  So we named him after Forrest Gump.

Over time, he became something of a minor celebrity.  And he could take as much attention as you could give!
