In this ladies-only, hijab-free beginners course you will be introduced to the fundamentals of target archery in a safe and supportive environment. We’ll cover the basics of safety, understanding of the bow, arrows, range, consistency and importance of proper release of arrows. We will also discuss the relevance to the Sunnah and archery as a Prophetic sport.
There is no previous experience required for the 5 week course, we will also provide all the necessary equipment including bows and any safety equipment.
Topics covered include:
- the archery range
- safety
- basic stance, posture and barebow shooting style
- equipment, different types of bows and arrows
- development of aiming and release techniques
- fun and competitive games
- continued coaching and support
The five week course will allow participation to become proficient at the Sunnah sport.

- Sundays 1530 – 1630 (duration 1 hour)

- Location: Speen, Buckinghamshire HP27
- Participants: limited 10 maximum
- Cost: adult £70

Your instructor - Sania
Sania Ayub has over 10 years of experience shooting and teaching archery. She has delivered various session to adults and children in a fun and exciting environment. She has also competed, and won, field archery competitions.
Location
We’re located in Speen, Buckinghamshire – about 10 minutes drive from High Wycombe.
The session is held outdoors – so please dress accordingly! In the event of high winds or rain, we would expect to cancel and re-schedule.
